T2 to T3 is a short walk. T1 to the domestic terminals is a bus or train ride. Leaving the airport after a long flight is where a confirmed chauffeur, waiting inside your terminal, makes the difference.
Terminal transfer times and fares are from Sydney Airport, checked on 21 October 2026. Check your airline for connection times.
Choose Airport / Regular Transfer, then add the flight number when you book so the pickup follows the real landing time.
Sydney Airport has one international terminal, T1, and two domestic terminals, T2 and T3. T2 and T3 sit side by side. T1 is on the other side of the airport, and you can't walk between international and domestic.

Most Qantas domestic flights use T3, while Virgin Australia, Jetstar and Rex fly from T2. Your booking always shows the terminal, so it's the one detail worth checking before you land.

Put your terminal and destination into the instant quote. You see the price before you book.
Your name for the sign and your mobile. Booking for a partner or a colleague works the same way.
It tells the chauffeur which terminal to go to, and the pickup follows the actual landing time.
An executive sedan for 1 to 3 passengers, an SUV for more bags, a people mover for a group.
Long-haul arrival into T1? Add a driver delay so the chauffeur arrives closer to when you clear customs.
You get the chauffeur's details and can follow the car on a live tracking link, or share it with whoever's waiting at home.

Sydney Airport's own guidance, in plain English. Connecting to another flight and leaving the airport are different problems with different answers.
The domestic terminals are next door. Take the pedestrian path through the P1 car park and you're there in about 5 minutes. There's no shuttle between T2 and T3, and you don't need one.
The free Terminal Transfer Bus runs every 15 minutes from 5:30am to 10:30pm and takes about 10 minutes. The Airport Link train takes 2 minutes and costs $8.50 peak or $7.30 off-peak with Opal or a contactless card.
This is the leg that goes wrong. Rideshare means a walk to the pick-up zone and a match that may cancel. A confirmed chauffeur is already tracking your flight and waits inside your terminal.
Your chauffeur is allocated before you land. No refreshing an app at the kerb, no match that cancels.
The instant quote shows the cost before you book. It doesn't climb because three flights landed at once.
Early or late, the pickup moves with the landing. Nobody has to call anyone.
Meet and greet is standard on every airport pickup. The chauffeur waits inside the terminal with a name sign and takes the bags.
Once the booking is accepted, passengers can message the chauffeur in the app. Phone numbers are masked for privacy.
Red-eye into T1 or a first flight out of T3? The dispatch desk is staffed 24/7, so early starts get a car, not a 'no drivers' message.
30 minutes for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights, starting when the chauffeur arrives.
Long queue at customs or a slow bag belt? Add a driver delay when you book so the chauffeur arrives closer to when you're ready.
The person who booked can follow the car on a live map, so your partner knows when you'll be home.
Five common situations at Sydney Airport, and what we'd do in each.
| Situation | Best option | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Qantas to Virgin, T3 to T2 (or back) | Walk through the P1 car park | About 5 minutes, signposted, no shuttle needed |
| International to domestic, T1 to T2 or T3 | Free Terminal Transfer Bus or the train | Bus every 15 minutes, 5:30am to 10:30pm. Train in 2 minutes, 5am to midnight. Check your airline's connection advice |
| Landing at T1 after 10:30pm | The train, or a chauffeur if you're heading out | The transfer bus has stopped for the night. A pre-booked chauffeur is already tracking your flight |
| Heading home after a long-haul flight | A chauffeur from T1 | Met in arrivals with your name on the sign, bags handled, no walk to the rideshare zone |
| Lots of luggage or mobility needs | Airline assistance, then a chauffeur | Arrange terminal assistance with your airline. Your chauffeur takes the bags from there |
All three get you out of T1, T2 or T3. The difference is what happens when your flight lands late, the pick-up zone is busy, or it's 11pm after a long day.
| Option | Booking | If the flight is late | Where you meet | Price | Receipt |

| Taxi | Not pre-booked | You join the rank queue | Taxi rank outside the terminal | Metered | Receipt from the driver |
